University college of Pharmacy, Old Campus Visit


š On the last day, we decided to visit the University of the Punjab š. It was established in 1882 as one of the first few universities in the subcontinent š. It has been serving quality education š for many years to its students. The university has four campuses in #Lahore, #Gujranwala, #Jhelum and #Khanspur, each providing many disciplines: Business Administration š, Commerce š§®, Law šØāāļø, biological š§«š§¬and life sciences š„¼and Information Technology šØāš§. The University of Punjab Lahore is one of the largest universities in the country, with around 45000 students studying at the moment in different disciplines.

š Although we had no specific interview appointments at University as the sports week was going on, all students and teachers were busy. Nevertheless, We explored the campus where I studied for five consecutive years and graduated with Dr. of Pharmacy (#PharmD) š§āāļøDegree. We explored the campus and various departments and clicked some pictures.
š More about the University of Punjab šµš° ( šš¼ http://pu.edu.pk/ ): There are 45,678 students (27,907 morning students, 16,552 evening students and 1,219 diploma studentsš). The university has 13 faculties of 83 academic departments, research centres, and institutes. Punjab University ranked first among large-sized multiple-faculty universities by the Higher Education Commission HEC šin 2012. There are also two #Nobel_Laureates š„among the university's alumni and former staff. Additionally, the university is also a member of the Association of #commonwealth Universities of the United Kingdom. In the recently issued rankings of Asian universities by QS World Universities #Rankings šļø, the university jumped from the 232nd to 193rd position, improving its position by 39 places. It ranks 251ā300 in Agriculture and Forestry, 501ā550 in Physics & Astronomy, and 501ā550 in Chemistry, according to QS World University Rankings by Subject 2019. In the 2022-2023 edition, it ranked 801 worldwide šŗļø.

About Author

Afnan works as a Head of Development and Internationalisation at Gimara. He also worked as an RDI Specialist at LAB University of Applied Sciences. Previously, he worked as a coach and company coordinator at Arffman-Barona. He has Post-Doc from Sweden and a PhD in Product Development and Innovations from Finland. He also holds a Bachelorās degree (PharmD) in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Punjab, majoring in production. Afnan can take a holistic approach to innovation throughout any product and service development lifecycle. He can understand the market needs and develop a product that the market wants.
