👉 It was a pleasure to visit Rosans Islamic School in Lahore 😊 . It is a pioneer in Islamic schooling in Lahore, which provides the highest quality of modern education with high Islamic values. The school offers quality education according to Cambridge University (O-Levels) 📖 and facilitates, and develops children’s soft skills, such as creative thinking, stimulates them intellectually and prepares them to compete in this fast-paced world of technology. The school provides an outstanding balance between the eastern and western ways of living 🙌 .
As part of the Finnish Research and Gimara Ltd Team, we have talked to teachers and students of schools and collected valuable, insightful data about online learning in general and especially how learners and instructors coped in the COVID era while there was no onsite schooling.
👉 We were pleasantly amazed at how well teachers and students adapted to crises, but all performed well. Mrs Fatima Hasan, Director Operations of Rosans School, got the best school in online learning prize from Govt of Punjab. We had valuable talks with her about online learning, teaching experience and discussions about future collaborations.
👉 We are thankful 🤝 to Rosans Islamic School's management, teachers and students for allowing us to look deeper at their highly interactive online and campus-based approach — special thanks to Mrs Zarqa Khan 🙏 for connecting the dots between Finland and Lahore and facilitating the actual meeting. Last but not least, #TeamGimara's untiring efforts to find frugal innovations in education and online learning.
About Author
Afnan works as a Head of Development and Internationalisation at Gimara. He also worked as an RDI Specialist at LAB University of Applied Sciences. Previously, he worked as a coach and company coordinator at Arffman-Barona. He has Post-Doc from Sweden and a PhD in Product Development and Innovations from Finland. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree (PharmD) in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Punjab, majoring in production. Afnan can take a holistic approach to innovation throughout any product and service development lifecycle. He can understand the market needs and develop a product that the market wants.
