R&D and Talent Attraction visit to Forman Christian College (A Chartered University)
It was a great experience 😇 to facilitate a visit to Forman Christian College (A Chartered University)#Lahore with Finnish researcher🤓 & Gimara Ltd CEO Marja Ahola, who specially visited Lahore.
At FC college, we had a long meeting with Dr Rukhsana Zia, Head of the Centre of Learning and Teaching (Head of CLT) 📖. We discussed learners' and instructors' experiences in online learning, especially in the COVID era. We have done a few individual interviews with Associate Professor Muhammad Bilal Sadiq 🧑🏽🏫, Associate Professor Dr Zaffar Mahmood and Dr Khuram Muaz. Different positive and negative sides of online learning were discussed, such as how developing countries coped with education implementation in the COVID era compared to developed countries. The discussion focuses on developing tools, technologies and designs as platforms to facilitate online learning. The key focus should be that all innovations in this domain should be frugal enough to be adopted in developing countries. An introduction to Finland as an innovative country and its efforts to attract and sustain talented people through various talent attraction programs were also discussed.

About Author
Afnan works as a Head of Development and Internationalisation at Gimara. He also worked as an RDI Specialist at LAB University of Applied Sciences. Previously, he worked as a coach and company coordinator at Arffman-Barona. He has Post-Doc from Sweden and a PhD in Product Development and Innovations from Finland. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree (PharmD) in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Punjab, majoring in production. Afnan can take a holistic approach to innovation throughout any product and service development lifecycle. He can understand the market needs and develop a product that the market wants.
